Course Overview:
This training course aim is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to better understand, promote, and maintain mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. Our training aims to encourage the development of resilience and educate employees on the signs and symptoms of mental illness, as well as providing realistic strategies for managing individual mental health and tips for supporting others.
Course Content:
1. The importance of mental health and wellbeing in workplace.
- Mental Health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well, and work well, and contribute to their community.
- Wellbeing is strongly linked to happiness and life satisfaction.
- emotional and physical wellbeing

- reduced staff turnover/better staff retention.
2. Recognize sign and symptoms of common mental health issues.
- confused thinking or reduced ability to concentrate.
- excessive fears or worries, or extreme feelings of guilt.
- extreme mood changes of highs and lows.
- withdrawal from friends and activities.
- significant tiredness, low energy or problems sleeping.
3. Maintain open communication with team members/colleagues.
- offering practical help can reduce their stress, improve their productivity, and boost their confidence.
- active listening shows that you care that you are interested, and that you are not judging them.
- managers are in a position to recognise when an employee may be struggling and not functioning well at work.
- implementing regular mental health awareness session and creating safe space for open communication.

4. Techniques for managing stress and building resilience.
